MARCH TO YOUR OWN BEAT

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!

Dempsey's Pub on Second Avenue

Every Tuesday night there is an Irish Music Jam at Dempsey's Pub in the East Village.
The burgers are amazing, the drinks are strong, the servers and the crowd are friendly and you don't have to be Irish to have a great time here!!!

They promised that next time they would play "Whiskey In a Jar" for me (Irish Folk Song recorded by one of my favorite bands, Thin Lizzy)
I'm not Irish and I don't drink whiskey, but for some reason,  this song always gets to me...
Must be the guitar riffs and the gorgeous voice of  front man and bass guitarist Phil Lynott, who died way too young back in 1986...

Fun Fact: Thin Lizzy formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969 and Phil Lynott was the first black Irishman to achieve commercial success as a hard rock performer.
