Here are a few new artists that I love.  You may recognize their influences but they each have a unique sound that is refreshing.

White Denim from Austin, TX if you're feeling laid back.

Julianna Barwick from Louisiana if you dream of heavenly voices and experimental soundscapes.

The Felice Brothers from the Catskills in NY if dig the folky, earthy, Americana sounds..

Lia Ices from New York if you're not afraid of  haunting but beautiful sounds.

Treetop Players from London if you want to hear a band that will transport you to another place and time.

*Some tips to keep in mind..your hair shouldn't look too clean but it shouldn't look like an oil slick either.
Either wash it less frequently or use Dirt by Jonathan. (  It'll  make your hair look like you haven't washed it in a few days.
Shower daily, though!

How to look like an Indie Rock Star (women)

A flowy hat (off the runway)
A pretty Dress

A Canvas Handbag

The "I'm naturally pretty" look  is important here, so opt for a clear but shiny lip treatment like Rosebud Salve. (This stuff multi-tasks as a cuticle cream and hair it!)

Fake your "no makeup look" with a Tinted Moisturizer like Laura Mercier spf 20, a hint of Blush like Tarte Cheek Stain, Black Argan Mascara by Josie Maran.  If you need a little exta concealing try Smashbox Concealer Stick.  It's oil-free so you can use it on a blemish or under your eyes!
*Always use a good sunblock like SuperGoop.
